Not to mention strategy and intelligence, assertiveness, speed, sharp reflexes, and the drive to fight and to win.

It is satisfying to face your opponent, the pair of you alone, in a space that seems somehow to sum up the world, your whole life.

A sport that forces you to think, in silence. To fight, in silence.

It demands the best of you and your ability to keep going, despite the mistakes, the defeats, the disappointments.

You have to carry on, come back from your defeat, start again.
