Climbing Alpamajo

Cecilia Carreri tells us: "I set out with the Scoiattoli di Cortina mountaineering club: Mario Dibona, Marina Menardi, Ivana De Zanna, Davide Alberti and Nadia Dimai, for Peru, the Cordillera Blanca, to climb one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, completely covered in ice and snow: Alpamayo, 5,946 metres.

A stopover in Madrid and another in Lima, before reaching Huaraz, the capital of the Ancash region, in the Cordillera Blanca.

The advanced base camp was at 5,350 metres; at midnight we set off, climbing to the peak up the Ferrari route.
We left Peru after celebrating at the Rosa Nautica, a famous restaurant in Lima, on the Pacific Ocean".
