Tchad et Tibesti
Cecilia Carreri tells us: "A month in the desert, dunes as high as mountains, carved by the wind in the heart of Africa, in Chad: nothing but a GPS system, wood for a fire, a little food, the sun and the moon. With our off-road vehicles, driven by Toubou, the indigenous people of the desert, we we ventured up into the Tibesti massif, previously explored in the early 20th century by Ardito Desio, as well as Doug Scott and Jerry Moffat.
Then we see the enormous Trou Au Natron crater, six kilometres across and 700 metres deep, next to the Pic Tousside, a mountain 3,315 metres high.
After that we continued our journey in the off-road vehicles, through the Zouarké gorges, before returning to N'Djamena".
